Bellydance shows are booked in 30 minute increments. You can arrange to have longer shows if you want and additional time can be negotiated for "meet-&-greet" type of events and photo opportunities.

What's included in a bellydance show? |
In a basic bellydance show, an exciting routine choreographed to the hottest Arabic dance music is performed and includes one prop (i.e. veil, sword, candles, cane, finger cymbals, etc.), audience instruction and participation (if desired) and an autographed 8x10 as a keepsake for your special celebration. Snakes and magic shows are an additional charge as are custom choreographed shows.

What types of events hire bellydancers? |
I have performed for thousand of different types of occasions. I perform in Arabic night clubs and restaurants, weddings (Arabic and American...even Vietnamese!), birthday parties, anniversaries, retirement parties, grand openings, corporate events, singing telegrams (we call these belly-grams), children's parties, cultural events, and many many more.

Do you do bachelor parties? |
NO! Under no circumstance do I perform at bachelor parties or at parties that are all male. I do, however, do BACHELORETTE parties. I can arrange to do a performance for the bride and her bridesmaids and then teach a class for all the girls to learn to bellydance. It's a break from the normal "take the bride-to-be to the club" and everyone loves it!

Is tipping required and what is the proper way to tip? |
Tipping is not required but it is greatly appreciated. It is a way of expressing appreciation for the dancer. In Arabic custom, the "tipper" will hold the money in his/her hand and fan it over the dancers head and then let it go to "shower" over her. I do not accept tips in the bra area but the tips in my hip belt are acceptable. The dancer will usually let you know where it is acceptable to tip her.

Can I get up and dance with the dancer during her performance? |
Usually the dancer has a set show with choreography and interruptions like that are not encouraged. Towards the end of my set, I like to invite people up to dance with me. If your belly dancer does this, feel free to dance with her or decline if you don't. But please be respectful and "bellydance" with her. Do not bump and grind on her, grab her, touch her, be vulgar, or try to out-dance her. It's not MTV Spring Break and you could get hurt. ;-)

Do you accept credit cards? |
I can accept credit card payments through Pay Pal, money orders, checks or cash. Payment arrangements will be detailed in your Performance Agreement.

Can you perform tonight? |
Sometimes I can accomodate last minute requests but I am very busy and usually booked about 6 weeks in advance. Please try to plan ahead and give me as much notice as possible. This will increase your odds of me being available for your event.

Is hiring a bellydancer expensive? |
Bellydancer's are not anymore expensive than a clown, a band, or a DJ. A skilled, quality dancer with expertise in the entertainment business will not be less than $150. No matter what happens at your party or event, people will ALWAYS remember the entertainment......good or bad. And you know what they say....you always get what you pay for.

Why is it an additional charge to stay after the performance? |
A little thing called "time-cost opportunity." I usually book several shows in one night. It is necessary to compensate the dancer for the time that she is not able to book another gig if she is to remain at your event whether she is performing or not. It is important to make sure you are ready for your performance at the agreed time so that she can adhere to her strict performance line-up.Remember, you are paying for years of dance training, professional attitude, expensive costumes, extensive choreography and practice, music, make up and hair preparation, driving time, gas, mileage and basic business operating expenses.

What awards do you have? |
I recently won 2006 BELLYDANCER OF THE UNIVERSE PEOPLE'S CHOICE & CONGENIALITY AWARDS and was the SHIMMY'n'SHAKE CHAMPION of the 1997 SUMMER WIND-DOWN in St. Maarten. Other than that I focus my efforts on learning and growing my business and don't have a lot of time for competitions. |
